Suri Cruise Offered First Voice Acting Role at Barely 2 Years of Age

Suri CruiseVoice actors are supposed to read their lines and then deliver them, right?

News has just broken that toddler Suri Cruise, who isn’t yet two years of age, has already landed her first major movie offer.

Perhaps Suri’s famous parents had something to do with it?

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s adorable daughter has been given an offer to play the speaking role of Germany’s beloved baby polar bear, Knut, in an upcoming animated feature film following the bear’s life.

Producer Ash R. Shah of Animation Picture Company has offered Zoo Berlin $5 million for the rights to Knut’s story, according to People.com.

“With his friendly character, he serves as an ambassador to the Earth’s problems – climate change and the melting polar ice caps,” said Shah, who was the man behind “Garfield: The Movie.”

“A movie about Knut would affect people all over the world,” he said.

The 1-year-old Knut has captivated animal lovers around the world since his mother rejected him at birth in 2006. He has already been immortalized in a children’s book “Knut: How One Little Polar Bear Captivated the World” and on the cover of Vanity Fair in pictures taken by famed celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz.

“I see the heartwarming relationship between Knut and his caretaker, Thomas Doerflein, at the center of the movie,” Shah told a German newspaper. “Suri (Cruise) could speak the English voice of Knut.”

Suri Cruise Polar Bear KnutSuri and her parents made a visit to see the cub while her father filmed “Valkyrie” in Germany this fall. But Shah has yet to hear from the 22-month-old tot’s people about his offer.

Zoo curator Heiner Klos said: “I can confirm that we received the offer and that we are giving it due consideration. When we have come to a decision, then we will handle the matter discreetly.”
