Kristine Oller Helps Voice Actors Get Organized
April 17, 2008
Most performing artists want only one thing… to be a performing artist as a full-time gig.
In pursuit of the dream, many unconsciously let it slip away from them and find that in order to make their dream a reality, they need to overcome several obstacles, often self-imposed, before they can achieve their goal of a solid and stable career doing what they love.
That’s where people like Kristine Oller come in.
Kristine is a professional organizer and career strategist who consults people, works with them on plans to make the most their situations, and then frees up precious time, space and financial resources liberating her clients from their ruts and the baggage that holds them back from success.
What interests Kristine most about her work as a professional organizer and as a career strategist is twofold.
Kristine revealed, “First, every day I get to interact with people who are striving to improve their lives – so, for me, it’s very joyful work. Second, each person’s circumstances and dilemmas are like unique knots that I help them untangle – so my job remains incredibly stimulating and challenging,”
Kristine Oller believes that the majority of performing artists are working too hard to get where they want to go. Most of the performers she encounters are not experiencing results commensurate with the ernest effort they are putting into their careers. This is usually because they are not utilizing their resources – their time, energy, and money – in the most efficient and effective ways possible.
Kristine added, “My job with most clients is to help them define a specific focus regarding what they are most passionate about pursuing at this time and to re-direct their efforts into more strategic, momentum-building action plans. Very often the result is they expend less effort than before to achieve more significant results than before.”
Where does her passion stem from for performing artists?
“I started organizing as a little side business so I could earn a higher income and have flexible hours in support of my own acting career. That was my only intention. But the business exploded and, very much to my surprise, I discovered that I loved it more than acting. Interestingly, this work provides me with everything I went into acting for – to positively impact people’s lives, to have my voice heard, to have my talents acknowledged, to dig deep into the puzzle of the human condition. I started my business ten years ago and it has grown entirely through word-of-mouth which I think is the best testament to the quality of service and results people have experienced when working with me. I also think my positive reputation reflects the effectiveness of my approach to the work in that I do not come into people’s lives and impose a rigid, pre-determined system that they must bend to. People have success sticking to the organization or the strategic plans because they are created around and developed to support the inherent strengths, natural habits, and current circumstances of each individual client. That’s why I named my business ‘Personalized Organization’”.
