Unofficial Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Announcer Auditions
January 6, 2009
Do you have what it takes to unofficially announce for Jimmy Fallon on NBC?
There’s still time to enter the contest, but you must do so by January 9th, 2009 at 5 p.m. EST.
The unofficial Late Night With Jimmy Fallon announcer auditions will remain open for submissions until Friday, January 9, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. eastern U.S. time.
Following the closing of contest entries, contest organizer Peter O’Connell, alongside contest judges, will hunker down in an undisclosed safe room (or cell) somewhere on Earth.
There, they will secretly agree who are the top 10 nominees either by consensus or best 3 out of 5 falls.
Their ballots will be burned to preserve the judges’ picks. When white smoke appears, the votes are unanimous and as a result, ten nominees will rise from the ashes.
Upon receipt of the announcement revealing the 10 nominees via the voxmarketising blog, community members will be encouraged to cast their votes for who they believe should be the unofficial announcer for the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show.

Last year, O’Connell held an unofficial contest to replace Michael Douglas as the announcer of the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. The winner of that contest was David Houston.

Steph:
Thanks very much for the plug.
Since you know about it I expect multiple entries from the Voices.com offices.
You have microphones and you know how to use them. Come play with us!
Best always,
