Facebookers, do you know whose voice is behind the push notifications you receive on the Facebook Poke mobile app?
According to TechCrunch, Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg recorded the voice-over “Poke” as a joke on his phone. After some persuasion, Zuckerberg’s voice sample was run through some audio filters and rolled into the modern Poke, greeting users of the Facebook app whenever they receive a push notification.
What is the Facebook Poke App?
The Poke app for iPhone is a simple and fun way to say hello to your friends. You can send pokes, along with messages, photos and videos, to a friend or multiple friends at once. When you send messages, photos and videos, you can choose how long they’ll be available for your friends to view up to 10 seconds. After that, they disappear from the app.
