The 5th annual Voice Over International Creative Experience (VOICE) is now taking early-bird registrations for one of the most anticipated voice-over events in the US.
The brain-child of voice-over professional and coach, Penny Abshire, VOICE was created originally as a singular event to bring talent out of their isolated world of voice-overs and was the first of its kind. VOICE was designed to raise industry standards through a combination of education, technology, and community.
Along with co-founders James Alburger and Frank Frederick, the first ever VOICE conference was launched in 2007 to an overwhelming response. Joined by 135 actors from nine countries it was clear that a conference of this kind was long overdue. Preceding the once “one-time-only” conference interest continued to grow and VOICE 2008, 2010, 2012 followed.
Hundreds of voice-over talent, actors, equipment manufacturers, and support service providers from across the globe attend VOICE each year, with this year’s attendance expected to climb. The programs covered during VOICE are geared toward both the experienced and novice voice-over artist with tips and topics that will serve actors of any kind whether they perform behind the mic or in front of a camera. It is an “open” conference meaning that participants can move from session to session as they please. The keynotes and session lineup for VOICE 2014 is still under development and is being updated on the website as information becomes available.
VOICE 2014 will take place August 27-30, 2014, at the Anaheim Hilton in Anaheim, CA with the highly anticipated “Red Carpet Reception” kicking off the event.

Correction: It was originally reported that 2013 was the only year which VOICE didn’t occur. We later learned that there was no VOICE conference in 2009, 2011, or 2013. Our apologies for the error.
