The much anticipated “I Know That Voice” film is partnering with charity: water and American Cinematheque for its world premiere at the famous Grauman’s Egyptian Theater on November 6, 2013 in Hollywood, CA in a rare premiere event open to the public.
Executive producer and voice actor John DiMaggio looks forward to meeting fans at the red carpet world premiere. “We love our fans so much that we’re actually going to lift the red ropes, and invite them to come schmooze, dine and celebrate with us before and after the event in support of this awesome cause and debut of a what I call ‘a Valentine to my peers,’” DiMaggio stated.
charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. In just over seven years, they’ve funded more than 9,000 water projects in 20 developing countries. When complete, these projects will provide clean, safe drinking water for more than 3.5 million people. 800 million people in our world don’t have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
American Cinematheque is a 501 C 3 non-profit viewer-supported film exhibition and cultural organization dedicated to the celebration of the Moving Picture in all of its forms. At the Egyptian Theatre, the Cinematheque presents daily film and video programming which ranges from the classics of American and international cinema to new independent films and digital work. Exhibition of rare works, special and rare prints, etc., combined with fascinating post-screening discussions with the filmmakers who created the work, are a Cinematheque tradition that keep audiences coming back for once-in-a-lifetime cinema experiences.
“We are thrilled to partner with charity: water and American Cinematheque for the debut of this film,” said “I Know That Voice” producer Tommy Reid. “Our fans and supporters have already contributed more than $10,000 to this cause. It’s incredible to see how much of an impact these amazing actors have made on people across the world.”
DiMaggio said they have been anticipating this film’s release as much as the countless fans asking about it via social media. “This film has been our baby for the last three years, and now we’re finally ready to let it go and share it to the world,” DiMaggio said. “Not only are we releasing a film featuring an unheard of 100-plus renowned voice actors, but we’ve found a way to incorporate its release for the advancement of society through this clean water charity, charity: water.”
